Hedra ArticlesNovember 2009 It is always fun getting out of bed in the morning when there is wildlife right outside my bedroom window. I had swung my legs over the bed to get up at 4:17 a.m., my head told me to stay quiet and not move; I am hardly conscious yet and I did what was suggested. That is when I saw doe #1 and she looked at me and I looked at her and she felt the Reiki and walked right past me to eat the Rose bush; I started to move about when my head said again, “Quiet” and then #2 doe walked past and she was about 15 feet from my window and she took the longest deciding whether I was a friend or someone to be concerned with, she then ambled off to eat the same Rose bush as #1. I peered to the south and there was yet another doe walking past the window and she had a slight limp in her front leg. I stood looking at her and she was a little bit afraid when I put both of my hands up to “beam” the Reiki to her, she settled quickly, because the Reiki calmed her peacefully. They took the Reiki for only a few minutes and that was all they wanted and I knew that the deer enjoyed receiving the Reiki! One of the does put the thought in my head that they were not used to receiving healing energies from 2-leggeds and it was appreciated. Later in the week I had been watering all of my trees who were more than thirsty, when I moved the water the last time I got a hitchhiker on my back, a praying mantis and I didn’t know it. Came back inside to Reiki my cousin in KY for 90 minutes because she was having Cataract surgery the next day; and when I completed her session I turned my head to the left because I felt something there and right at my nose was this praying mantis on my shoulder, it enjoyed the entire Reiki session. My normal reaction would have been, jump up wildly and fling it off my body, yet I remained calm and we talked about a minute and then I got up and proceeded to take it outside and the praying mantis was quickly going down my back and out of sight and out of reach! It didn’t want to leave my body; I told the mantis it had to walk onto the evergreen bush and reluctantly did! I held my hand over its’ body for a few seconds and then I went back inside. What the praying mantis had to say: “We all love the energy that is housed on and inside your body; we appreciate that when you are mowing your grass that you always stop to pick us up and move us to another location out of harm’s way; for me it was interesting to rest here at the top of your body (my shoulder) and feel all the bustle of energies floating inside of you, it made me very happy and mostly restful, I did enjoy being with you.” Life is about, “Appreciating” all that is. I had a wonderful day. You have a beautiful day! Diana Lynn Countryman Siderides, Warm Fuzzy Center P.S.
